- Pages are glued into a cover with a square spine, well suited to longer publications.
- Page count
- Count every printed or blank page, including the four cover pages. Choose an available even page count in the selector.
- Cover & inner pages
- Cover and text stock can differ. The selected paper and page count determine the spine width, so confirm these before preparing your cover.
- Print files
- Supply single interior pages in reading order and a separate full cover with the correct spine. Keep essential content away from the glued inner edge.

Supply a PDF with individual pages in reading order, not printer spreads. Include every page, including any intended blanks. Cover and spine requirements depend on the selected binding, so follow the product template.
Does the page count include the cover?+
Check the cover and page-count options before ordering. Every printed side counts as a page, including blank sides. If a separate cover is specified, follow that setup rather than guessing the total.
Which binding suits my project?+
Stapled booklets suit shorter publications, perfect binding creates a square spine for thicker books, and wiro binding allows pages to turn freely. The available page counts and stocks are shown in the selector.
When does my turnaround start?+
Your turnaround starts when payment, all required print-ready files and any requested proof approval are complete before the applicable cut-off. Placing an order without supplying suitable artwork does not start production.
For example, a three-working-day turnaround begins once your files are ready, not when you first place the order. Late files or artwork corrections move the estimated delivery date. Weekends and bank holidays can affect timing.
Set up your artwork
Set interior pages to the finished page size and export single pages in reading order. Prepare the cover separately using the confirmed spine width for your paper and page count. Follow the template for bleed and inner margins.
File setup & export checklist
- Supply a print-ready PDF. Use CMYK where available and high-resolution images, ideally 300ppi at final size for close-up print.
- Extend backgrounds into the bleed. Keep essential content inside the safe area.
- Follow the product-specific page order and template. Ask us for the correct template if you do not have it.
- Check every word, number and QR code. We check technical suitability; we do not proofread.
